This workshop will teach you the basics of iPad navigation, personalization, and using the pre-installed apps.  Even if you are already using an iPad for some basic functions, this workshop will fill in the gaps.

Whether you want to make your voice heard or just observe this especially relevant social media outlet, then Twitter is for you!  Learn the basics of tweeting, retweeting, following, direct messaging and hashtags. Explore more advanced functions, such as editing and deleting tweets, using privacy settings, and keeping up with trending hashtags.  With time for questions, learn how to get the most out of Twitter.

Prerequisite:  Your Twitter account and password.  If you do not have an account, we will help you set one up before the class.

Alexa is the virtual assistant built into Amazon’s Echo devices. It allows you to play music, ask questions, play games, get the news, shop, and much more. You don’t need to own an Echo device to attend this workshop where you will learn what Alexa can do for you. We will explain the different Echo devices, show you how to set one up, and give you a chance to ask Alexa some questions.

Instagram

Instagram is a photo-sharing application and service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly, or privately to pre-approved followers. Learn basic and advanced features including uploading pictures, photo editing and filters, following friends/family/favorite celebrities and using hashtags. It’s the perfect way to stay up-to-date with your children and/or grandchildren.

Prerequisite: A smartphone (Android/iPhone).  If you do not have an Instagram account, we will help you set one up before the class.
