WhatsApp

WhatsApp is one of the world's most used applications for sending private/group text messages, images, and other types of information as well as making voice and video calls with one or more contacts at a time. In this class, we will cover all of WhatsApp's features. You will learn how to use WhatsApp efficiently and take advantage of everything it has to offer, including sending GIFs (join the class to find out what it is if you don't know), backing up your chats, and determining your privacy settings. 

If you have a WhatsApp account, you will need to know your account ID and password. If you do not have an account, come to class at 9:30 and we will help you create one.

Word for Writers

Struggling to make your writing appear professional?  This class will help writers format their work for ease of revision, presentation and pre-publishing. It will look at formatting before, during and after writing. We will discuss pagination and make suggestions for versioning. Styles versus manual formatting will be addressed. Examples will use Microsoft Word, but other software packages will be examined as well.

Are you or is someone you care about visually impaired?  Learn how to activate and use VoiceOver, an accessibility feature that is on your iPhone or iPad.  VoiceOver is a comprehensive screen reader that can make your device easier to operate.

Instagram is a photo-sharing application and service that allows users to share pictures and videos.  Learn basic and advanced features including uploading pictures, photo editing and hashtags. It’s the perfect way to stay up-to-date with your children and/or grandchildren.

Meet Alexa – A Virtual Assistant

Alexa is the virtual assistant built into Amazon’s Echo devices. It allows you to play music, ask questions, get the news, and much more. We will explain the different Echo devices, show you how to set one up, and give you a chance to ask Alexa some questions.

You do not need an Echo device to attend this workshop.
